FBI-UAP-D008, FD-1057-07, Northeastern United States, 2024

This heavily redacted FBI FD-1057 (Rev. 5-8-10) electronic communication, dated 12/1/2024, records a site survey conducted by FBI Special Agents at a location in the northeastern United States associated with prior observations of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP). According to the record, on a date in December 2024 the agents surveilled and photographed locations where UAP activity had been observed on prior November 2024 dates. Agents walked a roughly two-mile marked trail loop clockwise beginning around 10:30am, departing the trail to the west and north. On the northwest side around 11:00am they descended to the water's edge and, facing south, had unobstructed line of sight to a redacted property; they found nothing unusual on the ground or at treetop level in the vicinity of the earlier sighting. On the north side they noted an apparent former fire pit with no evidence of recent burns. Agents assessed that moderate tree cover would make it unrealistic to fly a drone or other craft at night without risk of crashing into tree limbs. The releasing agency notes that files FBI-UAP-D004 through D008 and video footage FBI-UAP-PR001 through PR003 correspond to reports from the same general area. Multiple photos taken on FBI-issued phones were enclosed. The document was released 6/12/2026.
