PR-016, Resolved as Birds, Europe 2023
According to AARO, U.S. European Command (EUCOM) submitted a report of an unidentified anomalous phenomenon consisting of twenty-five seconds of infrared video footage captured by a sensor aboard a U.S. military platform in 2023 over Europe. The silent video shows multiple unified aerial objects moving steadily across the sky. AARO assesses, with high confidence, that the objects are almost certainly (>95% likelihood) birds. The office bases this assessment on the objects' strong morphological consistency with other resolved bird imagery and their behavioral characteristics aligning with birds — e.g., maintaining relative positioning for energy conservation during flight and a pulsating infrared return at a frequency consistent with wing beats. This file is part of AARO's Official UAP Imagery release.
