The local office of the Civil Aeronautics administration discredited a
supposition by Bluethenthal Field ' s station manager vanes HoloD'lon , that
object could have been a P-80 plane in flight . The CAA said there was no
such plane in the sky -there at the time .

At 2147 hours on 9 July 19.!$, the undersigned sighted an unidentified object
f l ying from east to west at appr oximately three or four thousand feet ove r the north
end of Osbor n, Ohio.

'.lhe object appeared as a pale ye llowish white light that seemed to glow. It
not a direct beam. 'lhe l ight was traveli ng at a rate of speed between five or
six hvn~red miles . It appeared long enough to allow the observer to determine its
flight path {approximately one to t?ro seconds) and then went out• Ther e was a pause
of three seconds . the light then reappeared again for the same length of time , another
three- second pause and the patter n was repeated• After the third appearance i t was
~ seen again.
'lhe final sighting was made with the object at an angle of approximately
9 to the horizon in f ront of the observer who WtiS l ooking nor th . n>.e last sighting
was slightl y above the horizon to the west , just north of Pattern Fie l d. '.Ihe intermittent appear ance of the light was at a regulated i nterval ,

Proceeded to the home of Mr • Howard Enslow in Gahanna. Ohio, with an Agent of
the 109th CIC Detachment at 1000, 10 July 191.$ •

Interviewed Mrs . Howard Enslow who stated that on the night of l July 19~
between 2100 and 2200 hours, she, Mr . Ens l ow, Mr . and Mr s . Chester Taylor and th~ir Sons ,
Harol d and Jack, of 400 Grove st., Columbus, Ohio, sighted an unident ified object flying
through the air . Mrs. Ensl ow described it as a "Beautiful goiden saucer glowing like a
halo with a silver rim around it. n Direction of flight was from North...st to Southwest and the object was visible for approximately therr second•• Subject was very vague a

Proceeded to the home of Mr . Chester Taylor and intervi~wed his son Jack, age

23, 'Who had three years service and is now active in the National Guard. He s t ated that
the object was a bright yellow-'White light that moved through the sky at a terrific rate
of sp,ied. It was e. glow and not a directed light and was about two seconds in duration.
It ditntt fade out but ceased abruptly . The line of flight appeared to be flat and the
object appeared from the Northeast going Southwest , at an a l titude of about three or
four thousand.feet . 'lhere was no audible noise althcugh it was a quiet night and the
object appeared olose in at an angle to the horizon of about forty- five degrees .
Although the sky was clear and the moon was bright nothing but the light was seen.

4. ~!r . Tayl or' s story was the same as that of hi s sonts . Mrs . Taylor was in the
oar and did not observe the phenomena. ihe other witness was not readily available .
